Eaton Corporation Vice President, Finance- Mobility Group in Southfield, Michigan

The Position

Eaton Corporation is hiring for a Vice President Finance, Mobility Group to lead a global finance organization.

Reporting directly to the Mobility Group President within the Industrial Sector and functionally to the CFO, Industrial Sector, you will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team. In this highly visible role, you will have accountability for a $4B revenue business with full P&L responsibility, including financial planning and analysis, and product line support. You will ensure alignment to corporate financial policies, legal requirements/ GAAP as well as provide financial leadership to the global group to maximize profitable growth and support the strategic initiatives across the industrial sector. You will have an opportunity to drive process improvements, creating and implementing policies to increase efficiencies while building organizational capability across the finance function in the pursuit of the groups aggressive growth objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with Mobility Group President and Senior Leadership Team to set overall financial and functional goals and objectives.

  • Evaluate operating results in terms of costs, budgets, operating policies, trends, and increased profit opportunities for the business.

  • Facilitate key monthly business operating reviews to drive execution of our profit plan and longer-term strategy.

  • Prioritize opportunities and provide leadership to the cross functional teams to address areas for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, and Eaton Financial Policy including integrity of all Balance Sheet items.

  • Provide financial leadership on a variety of strategic business projects including commercial/pricing decisions, M&A/partnership opportunities, multi- generational product plans, supply chain optimization, new business opportunities, etc.

  • Develops key leaders and builds organizational capability through hiring, talent development and succession planning.

  • Develop Finance functional excellence and stability thru deployment of an organizational model that aligns personnel with requirements of a global business.

  • Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.

Qualifications/Experience

Eaton is seeking an exceptionally talented, strategic-minded, finance executive with excellent leadership skills to successfully lead the finance function across a global business group.

  • 15+ years progressive experience within a finance or accounting function in a comparable size/scope role, with 5+ years leading people managers.

  • Previous ownership and growth of a P&L for an industry leader within a dynamic, matrixed, global manufacturing organization.

  • Record of accomplishment in leading and influencing a geographically dispersed team through a collaborative approach, while driving compliance to financial policies and accountability for strong performance.

  • Proven expertise in developing forward-thinking, innovative financial strategies to propel a growth-oriented business to achieve financial targets.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.

  • International experience across financial disciplines, i.e., tax strategies, transfer pricing, currency hedging, statutory reporting, legal entity implications, etc.

  • Experience in providing analysis, recommendations, and communication to senior leadership.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited institution is required and an MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $270000.0 - $396000.0 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
