Eaton Corporation Quality Manager in Santiago, Dominican Republic

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Quality Manager.

What you’ll do:

Effectively implement and maintain the quality management systems (EQMS) along with the standards ISO9001 and AS9100. Plans, manages, and coordinates quality goals assurance, maintain and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Apply and use EBS tools that are suitible for the site on order to help to accomplish Operational Excellence.

Job Responsibilities

1.Manage improvement initiatives and prepare reports with all the quality performance indicators of the operation: Customer DPPM, Internal PPM, Supplier PPM, Validation and Test Audit data. Also Internal audits program and responsible for MRB meetings.

  1. Manage along the QE's Quality Alerts (Escapes to customers, internal support calls, supplier performance).

  2. Plan, execute and sustain EQMS System and ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100 certification by internal and external audits using a third party.

  3. Lead OPA; coordinate activities prior and post assessment including the EQMS Self-assessment and QMS Risk Matrix.

  4. Responsible to establish, develop and execute cost saving projects –mainly CONC reduction- and quality projects and improvements at the manufacturing lines.

  5. Responsible for control implementation in manufacturing processes, drive PFMEA analysis and RPN reductions, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capabilities and overall CAPA effective implementation using quality tools such as 8D report, A3, 3ups, depending on the business need.

  6. Provide support to the NPI process and ensure Production Part Approval Process, First Article inspection and customer specific requirements are performed and/or achieved as required.

  7. Ensure that process changes needed for the Quality Management System are controlled, implemented and maintained as applicable.

  8. Support NPD validation in Operations as well as support any plant –to-plant or Business-to-Business, product line transition using ProLaunch program.

  9. Ensure Development programs are being accomplished by all Quality Personnel, in alignment with EQS / OpA criteria requirement.

  10. Act as a key contributor in the development and deployment of functional strategy in alignment with the annual profit plan and EBS Pull activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations or related field

5 years as supervisor/manager

Skills:

Six sigma certification (green belt) preferred

Results oriented, strong leadership skills, attention to details, decisive, fair, consistent; stress tolerant in a fast paced.
