Eaton Corporation Operational Excellence Manager in San Jose, Costa Rica

Eaton’s EPG LAC Latin AmericaCaribbean Division division is currently seeking a Operational Excellence Manager. As an OPEX (Operational Excellence) Manager at Eaton, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational improvements, cost efficiency, and quality enhancement. You will be responsible for Leading a team that manages and enhances the Quality Management System and Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize the overall operational performance. This critical role Leads Cost Out initiatives, Capex deployment and Project Improvement using Manufacturing Engineering principles.

Job responsibilities:

1.Operational Excellence Leadership: Lead and champion the implementation of Lean Six Sigma and EQMS methodologies across various functional areas within the organization.

2.Process Optimization: Identify, analyze, and improve existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance overall productivity.

3.Continuous Improvement: Develop and execute strategic plans for continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

4.Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and assess the effectiveness of process changes.

5.Project Management: Manage cross-functional teams, allocate resources, and monitor project timelines to ensure successful execution of improvement initiatives.

6.Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to employees at all levels to promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

7.Quality Assurance: Ensure that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the operational processes, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

8.Cost Control: Work to reduce operational costs while maintaining high-quality standards, contributing to sustainable business practices.

9.Change Management: Drive change initiatives, facilitating buy-in from team members and stakeholders while minimizing disruption.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or related roles.

• Demonstrated experience in leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

• Knowledge of the manufacturing or industrial sector is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.

Skills:

•Strong data analysis skills using tools like Minitab or similar software.

•Project management skills and the ability to use project management software.

•Knowledge of process mapping and optimization techniques.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
