Eaton Corporation Heavy Construction and Engineering Services Sales Manager in San Jose, Costa Rica

What you’ll do:

Job summary

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of long, midterm and annual Heavy Construction/ Infrastructure and EESS (Eaton Electrical Services and Systems) sales plans, framed by the Vision and Mission of the Subsidiary and corporate guidelines. Managing and collaborating with resources both internal and external to Eaton to achieve planed results, within assigned budget,

  • Participate in developing and implementation of the local Company Policies. Abiding by and enforcing such policies and granting the best use of the Company resources assigned to the position.

  • Responsible for planning and managing the customer base and sales resources to achieve the assigned goals and objectives for the CAC (Centroamerica and Caribbean) region.

Job responsibilities

A .Provide guidance to the marketing and sales staff members, in order to achieve the subsidiary goals within Corporate rules and best practices.

B. Identification of regional projects for short , mid and long pipeline funnel keeping main customer base and key players identified.

C. Monitors sales and marketing performance and implements corrective actions, to achieve the goals of the annual operating Profit Plan.

D. Provide performance information to upper level management

E. Convey high level negotiations within Eaton and within the customers structure.

F Suggest and approves training plans to assure continuous improvement and career path to employees

G. Attend professional and organizations meetings to influence local codes and regulations to our standards and specifications.

H. Collaborates with peers to the position at the Corporation level to assure timely flow of market and products information, new technologies and best practices

I. Leads and promotes a safety culture with Safety and Health, Lean as well as SAA (Environmental Administration) and SGC (Quality System).

J. Responsible for forecast and results on both bookings and sales for the HC/Infrastructure and EESS profit plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, industrial maintenance) or related, Master degree in Mktg preferred

  • Desired experience in Sales and strategic planning of minimum 5 years. Managerial experience to handle crisis negotiation and decision making

  • Advanced Knowledge of English language

  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)

  • Preferably permanent member to Professional and Chambers association

  • Willingness to travel of 50% of time within region
