Eaton Corporation Payroll Supervisor in Queretaro, Mexico

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Payroll Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

Supervise the Payroll processing Operations centralized in México Corporate. Payroll Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accurate payroll calculations and timely for all employees. This position will assist payroll team. May be the first level escalation for complaints or complex resolution. Conduct and support payroll members the monthly closing process. Maintain SOX and Internal Audit compliance as require and ensure compliance according to the federal and state laws. Provide customer service to internal and external customers.Manage and champion ad hoc projects as needed. The position drives continuous improvement in Payroll focused in the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS).

Job Responsibilities

A. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the payroll area, including the processing of weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls.

B. Coordinate with HR and finance teams to carry out payroll processing.

C. Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

D. Train and supervise payroll team and ensure payroll staff is organized and meets deadlines.

E. Facilitates records and documentation to the authority requierements (SHCP, IMSS e INFONAVIT, FONACOT, etc. ).

F. Collaborate with the Internal Control Audit and Statutory Audits for the Eaton sites and activities under the scope.

G. Supervise, motivate and lead payroll team focuse in the Development plan based in BOC ( Builds Organizational Capability).

H. Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.

I. Contribute and generate action plans to achieve the metrics Targets.

J. Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work.

K. Contribuite, Implement and design new processes o strategy requiring a thorough knowledge of the payroll processes and comprehension of area concerns.

L. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve departmental and GFSS goals. Support site, functional or corporate initiatives.

M. Maintain safe, clean working environment in compliance with all Eaton safety standards, Life Saving Rules, and daily 5S+ requirements to help build a Zero Incident Culture.

N. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor degree necessary.

Years and area of experience required

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in payroll and accounting environment in a global company. At least two years in a supervisory capacity is desired.

Skills:

Technical knowledge

• Knowlege of Payroll ERPs

• Knowledge of Mexican statutory (IMSS, Infonavit, Fonacot)

• Knowledge of basic structures for compensation, taxes and wages

• Fluid English communication - written and spoken.

Soft skills

• Communication skills and team work capability

• Ability to operate and deliver independently without day to day supervision.

• A proven ability to mentor and motivate a Payroll team
