Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Oracle EBS Finance Functional Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial modules, combined with the technical acumen to support system configurations, customization, and integration. This role is critical in collaborating with business users to gather requirements, design and implement effective solutions, configure applications, and provide continuous support. The consultant will demonstrate extensive knowledge of ERP landscapes, especially Oracle Financials, and be adept at analyzing and troubleshooting complex production issues. Key responsibilities include driving the resolution of issues within agreed SLAs, participating in solution design for complex application development, and ensuring seamless integrations with multiple systems. The role also requires proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and hands-on experience with Oracle R12 setups.

Additionally, the consultant will have expert knowledge of Oracle functional modules such as Order to Cash (O2C), Receivables, Tax, and General Ledger (GL), alongside a solid understanding of sub-ledger accounting and multi-country taxation. The ability to analyze and query application data schemas, gather requirements, and define scope with non-technical business users is crucial. The consultant will work closely with various teams, including, Business teams, DBAs, SME's etc to ensure timely resolution of tickets, utilizing ServiceNow. Creating and maintaining a knowledge repository and identifying continuous improvement opportunities are also key aspects of this role.

Roles

Project Implementation:

Lead and participate in the implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial modules.

Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and configure applications.

System Configuration and Customization:

Configure Oracle Financials R12 modules based on business requirements.

Customize and extend Oracle EBS applications to meet specific business needs, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.

Requirement Analysis and Documentation:

Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including BR100 (setup documents), MD050 (functional design documents), and MD070 (technical design documents).

Solution Design and Prototyping:

Design and prototype solutions for complex business problems.

Ensure that solutions are scalable, efficient, and align with business objectives.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze and query application data schemas to generate insights and reports.

Develop custom reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Analyze and resolve complex production issues for Oracle Financials R12, including interfaces, reports, customizations, extensions, and workflows.

Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing queries and issues in a timely manner.

Utilize ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools to manage and track support tickets.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with Business teams, SME’s DBAs, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and integration.

Coordinate with external partners and vendors as needed to support system enhancements and upgrades.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

Provide training and support to end-users and junior team members.

Document solutions and create a knowledge repository to facilitate quick resolution of recurring issues.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes and system functionality.

Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to optimize Oracle EBS performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as: B.E / BTech / MCA / Equivalent (EITC) or B.S. Comp Sci / Mathematics / Engineering / Equivalent

• 12+ years of relevant industry experience in design, development, implementation and administration of Oracle Finance application development

Skills:

Functional Skills Required:

1.Business Process Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of financial business processes such as Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Record to Report (R2R).

  • Ability to align Oracle EBS functionalities with business processes.

2.Requirements Gathering:

  • Expertise in gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.

  • Experience in working with non-technical business users to define scope and requirements.

3.Solution Design:

  • Ability to design and prototype solutions for complex business problems.

  • Experience in creating functional design documents (MD050) and technical design documents (MD070).

4.Configuration and Setup:

  • Proficiency in configuring Oracle EBS modules, including setups and personalization.

  • Ability to develop and manage BR100 documents for configuration setups and changes.

5.Accounting and Taxation:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Understanding of multi-country taxation and compliance requirements.

6.Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Experience in analyzing and resolving complex production issues in Oracle Financials R12.

  • Ability to provide ongoing support and training to end-users.

7.Documentation:

  • Skills in documenting business processes, configurations, and solutions to create a knowledge repository.

  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive user manuals and training materials.

8.Collaboration and Communication:

  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage relationships with business users, IT teams, and external partners.
