Eaton Corporation Junior Buyer in Perth, Ontario

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Junior Buyer to join our team. This position is based at our Perth, Canada facility and offers benefits from Day 1.

What you’ll do:

This is a dual role performing the functions of Junior Buyer and Senior Administrative Assistant. As a Junior Buyer, you will primarily support procurement sourcing and management, and the Senior Administrative Assistant role will perform a wide variety of functions to support Perth operations, including Administration & Personnel, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Purchasing, Label Printing Operations, Plant Manager and HR support, maintaining safety files/forms, etc.

In this role you will:

  • Perform purchasing functions to locally source, order, receive and deliver required materials and services, and review invoices to verify charge number, pricing, approving signature & conformance with original Purchase Order.

  • Support and strictly adhere to policy and forms for shared and strategic suppliers, and adhere to contracts terms and payment milestones.

  • Adhere to Eaton supplier setup and quality policies.

  • Provide overall support on policy issues and payment requirements.

  • Support additional procurement analytics as needed.

  • Manage financials including Pro-card statements & Manager's Concur Reports, Payroll/Overtime, and MRO purchase orders.

  • Resolve employee problems/concerns regarding benefit/pay/OT through liaison with HR/Payroll staff.

  • Monitor & control visitor access and orientation to plant and issue badges as required.

  • Maintain and update various records, reports & files instrumental to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.

  • Coordinate employee reimbursement programs.

  • Act as the central nexus of administrative and office tasks in support of the daily operation, Plant Manager requirements, events and reports.

  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders in a professional and responsive manner.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business or related function from an accredited post-secondary institution

  • Professional certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management from an accredited post-secondary institution.

  • Three (3) years of experience in an office environment supporting a Manager

  • Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Must be eligible to work Canadawithoutcompanysponsorship

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within an 80km radius of Perth, Canada will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle, Outlook, Vista, WISPER, Markview, Ariba, and PowerBI.

  • Experience performing Quality Audits ISO 9001 standards is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with Payroll & Accounting system functions.

  • Good understanding of LEAN concepts, principles & tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Pull Systems and Standardized Work.

  • Six Sigma Yellow/Green/Black Belt certification.

  • Proven ability to query and manipulate data using MS Excel, MS Access, Minitab, Power BI and/or other programs and transform data into information.
