Eaton Corporation Inside Sales Representative in Ottawa, Ontario

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position can be based at the following Eaton locations in Montreal, Ottawa, or Mississauga Canada and offers a hybrid working schedule of two days remote and three days in office. To be considered, candidate must be fluent in both English and French (verbal & written).

What you’ll do:

The primary function of Inside Sales Representative (ISR) role is to support customers, management, outside sales, application engineering and channel partners in the fusible circuit protection and electrical safety space. In this role you will provide world-class customer support to internal and external customers while maintaining complete awareness of all matters impacting the Bussmann series business in Canada.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical knowledge regarding products/services

  • Assist in pricing key projects in the Bussmann business

  • Follow up as necessary with other departments/ to ensure delivery dates are met, and proactively communicate delayed shipments to customers and stakeholders

  • Advise customers on use and application of standard products and refer more technical inquiries to appropriate personnel

  • Communicate directly with customers, agents and sales representatives via phone and e-mail

  • Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing available resources or creating procedures for resolution

  • Coordinate warranty and non-warranty repairs and returns, which include shipping issues or service requests

  • Reviewing/tracking backorders with inventory planners, tracking shipments, offering alternative product if requested product is not in stock etc

  • Mentoring/Developing/Promoting Customers on new systems i.e. Order Center

  • Resolves problems with shipments or invoicing. Issues Return Goods Authorizations (RMA) and enters replacement orders as necessary and raises the appropriate quality notifications to ensure root cause of issues are addressed

  • Responsible for ensuring issues are escalated to managers for prompt investigation and action as required

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and French is required (written & verbal)

  • Two (2+) or more years of work experience in a technical customer service/support role

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

  • Ability to travel to the United States for product training (1-2 times per year)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree from post-secondary accredited institution

  • One (1) year of experience within the electrical industry

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Vistex

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
