Eaton Corporation Generalista Sr Recursos Humanos in Nogales, Mexico

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Generalista Sr Recursos Humanos.

What you’ll do:

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Sr HR Generalist is responsible for directly assists HR Manager in developing, implementing and administering HR policies, programs and initiatives to support plant’s business objectives. Incumbent supports management and employees in areas of recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee’s services, compensation surveys, data and metrics reporting, and employee relations for continuous improvement performance behaving according to Eaton’s Ethics and Values, company’s policies and Mexican labor laws and regulations.

ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides service with positive and proactive attitude to all departments in relation to employee needs to contribute achieve manufacturing objectives.

  • Ensures time and attendance information for payroll is processed with accurate information, providing on-time reports and approvals for payroll team (GFSS).

  • Prepares and sends all the appropriate reports to the IMSS within the time limits established.

  • Ensures compliance with IMSS, Infonavit, Fonacot, Labor Law Compliance: Art. 158 (seniority commission), Art. 117 (profit sharing).

  • Manage employee benefits ensuring the compliance to organizational policies as well as to Federal, State and Local Law and regulations.

  • Manage employee benefits (food coupons, saving fund, pension plan and caja de ahorro, etc.)

  • Assist in the areas of salary and compensation planning and administration.

  • Responsible of Labor Relations, ensuring fair treatment, helping to get issues raised and addressed responding to their need for information on policies, procedures, benefits, pay etc. and identifying developmental opportunities.

  • Lead the recruitment process - selects and hires personnel according to requirements of skills, time and shift availability that departments require.

  • Strengthens employee retention and engagement through establishing the standard on-boarding and orientation processes with integrated efforts from various functions.

  • Maintains employee’s files with legal requirements such as birth certificate, school certificates, employment contract, IMSS, etc., assuring confidentiality of the information is always maintained.

  • Prepares and reviews department information and reports such as headcount, absenteeism, and terminations in an accurate, precise and timely manner.

  • Maintains and updates employee’s pertinent information in HRMS and local system (Tress). Audits information in both systems regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency with support of HR Services.

  • Based on data must provide suggestions to management, to evaluate departmental efficiency as well as to detect significant trends.

  • Coordinates and ensures monthly programs and plant activities, such as rewards and recognitions, anniversaries, monthly meetings, roundtables, etc., are carried out on timely manner.

  • Coordinate activities related to personnel services as: Cafeteria and transportation achieving employee high satisfaction and engagement.

  • Coordinates OEA/CTPAT activities.

  • Actively participates in CI activities, Cost Out, EBS, OpA, MESH, Employee Survey and other Eaton’s initiatives and processes.

  • Attends training courses assigned by Human Resources Department

  • Supports iERG groups.

  • Supports other activities related to the area.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree majored in HR, business administration or equivalent.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in HR in a manufacturing company.

  • Professional presence, friendly and customer service attitude, good to inspire confidence.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to deal with all levels of staff.

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Payroll system (Tress).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and facilitation skills; ability to resolve personnel conflicts.

  • Familiar with Labor Law and other related regulations, including IMSS, Infonavit, Fonacot.
