Eaton Corporation Lead Customer Integration & Support Engineer in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Connected Solutions Organization division is currently seeking a Lead Customer Integration & Support Engineer. This role is located out of Moon Township, PA. Relocation assistance will be provided.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $​​​​​​​91,500 - $134,200 a year.

The Connected Homes Customer Integration and Support Engineer works with the broader Connected Solutions Organization to partner with our customers in the connected protection home ecosystem in order to continuously improve the B2B system integration process, current offerings and system design requirements. he/he will have overall responsibility for owing the customer integration, system design, and standards requirements and help driving new and existing product, and technology development including hardware, firmware, and system design to meet our customer needs. This position will work closely with product engineering team, systems and components engineering manager, and product marketing team.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and deeply understand customer integration requirements for Connected Homes products, ensuring that these are the driving force behind system and component design to meet all the customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product portfolio, staying updated on the latest hardware, firmware, and system design advancements.

  • Act as a liaison between customers and the internal teams, translating technical needs into actionable insights for marketing strategies and product engineering.

  • Understand NEC and UL standards and work with engineering team to ensure product designs adhere to safety standards and are compliant with relevant NEC and UL codes.

  • Provide expertise in field service, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

  • Work closely with product managers, product designers, and engineering to lead or contribute to large-scale projects.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software, and system design issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.

  • Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation.

  • Keeps current on changing technologies and best practices.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with standards agencies and industry groups.

  • Mentors, coaches, and develops less-experienced team members.

  • Coordinates work with external development partners in specialized areas as needed.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within the electrical engineering industry.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with a focus on electrical safety and compliance.

  • Experience with product engineering, systems engineering, reliability engineering, failure analysis, systems test engineering, or product quality engineering.

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies, with in-depth knowledge of related process and principles.

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in power electronics, digital design, best practice firmware and connected components.

  • Strong understanding of systems design

  • Knowledge of circuit protection standards, testing and design desired.

  • Knowledge of programming tools such as Python, SQL, C++, C#, or equivalent.

  • Understands the market, regulatory influences, the competitive landscape and broader context of the business strategy.

  • Strong knowledge of safety practices, field service protocols, and compliance with NEC and UL standards.

  • Exceptional ability to lead, collaborate, openly communicate, influence others, present and negotiate effectively across disciplines and stakeholders (marketing, engineering, customer support, etc.)

  • Shows a global perspective and cultural awareness to interact with colleagues across geographies and functions and takes an inclusive approach to drive alignment.

  • Stays current with technology advancements and applications.

  • Ability to communicate programs to peers and Senior Management…written and verbal. Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous and changing environment, with the ability to work independently and be a self-starter, working multi-task on several initiatives at one time, in a fast moving and evolving business.

  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, delegate within team, and ability to work under deadline pressures.

  • Ability to demonstrate technical learning and can learn new skills, knowledge, industry, product or technical knowledge.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of engineering tools such as JIRA, Confluence, JAMA, Bitbucket

  • Knowledge of communication protocols fundamentals
