Eaton Corporation Business Planning & Strategy Director in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Assemblies & Residential Solutions (ARS) is seeking a Business Planning & Strategy Director to join our leadership team. As a part of our Electrical sector our ARS group proudly exceeds $5B in sales with over 12k employees across its various locations. This role can be based in Charlotte, NC or Pittsburgh, PA, and is subject to up to 25% travel. Relocation assistance is available.

Reporting to the President of ARS, the Business Planning and Strategy Director will support the business in maintaining a competitive edge and achieving sustainable growth. This role will orchestrate the growth strategy for all three divisions: Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies (PDCA), Residential & Wiring Devices (RWD), and Commercial Products & Assemblies (CPA).

In a highly visible, newly created role, the Business Planning and Strategy Director will play a critical part in orchestrating and driving the ARS business's direction. This position involves creating strategies that align with short- and long-term goals and financial objectives. By closely monitoring industry trends and evaluating business performance, the Business Planning and Strategy Director will ensure that the organization remains agile and responsive to changing market demands. You will collaborate across a matrix organization through partnerships at varying levels, to include senior executives. You will develop and implement plans that enhance operational efficiency and profitability, while leveraging a balanced approach to risk management and opportunity identification.

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate planning across growth initiatives, sales performance, market development, and vertical market pricing strategies and tools

• Create a commercial strategy with a holistic view of Eaton business, industry trends, competitive activities, and customer requirements

• Create and deploy a strategy and innovation vision that fosters a digital mindset

• Monitor market / technology changes to ensure innovation

• Represent the ARS product portfolio and applications across the enterprise

• Support the building of high performing teams across functions, geographies, and cultures to deliver on key customer commitments

• Identify expansion opportunities

• Align processes, resources-planning, and goals with overall strategy

• Actively contribute expertise, ideas, and business intelligence to the larger team to help drive continuous improvement and business growth

• Collaborate closely with executive team on driving the internal and external communications of the business strategy

• Function as a domain specialist, track macro trends, technology shifts, and key players in the space

• Streamline and drive business management processes across ARS

Your Qualifications:

• Experience driving business planning and strategy to include pricing and contracts in a multi-product line business to streamline business development related activities

• Led P&L oversight and analysis for global enterprise with an emphasis in strategy development and delivering top-line growth

• Experience working across a multi-product line environment to develop clear and actionable plans, business processes and metrics with positive results

• Successfully coordinated business processes and planning for mergers and acquisitions

• Experience partnering across multiple businesses or groups, and varying professional levels including C Suite to develop business strategies

• Minimum 10+ years’ professional experience in business development leadership roles 

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

The expected annual salary range for this role is $153749.97 - $225499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
