Eaton Corporation Aftermarket Repairs Planner in Jackson, Mississippi

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Aftermarket Repairs Planner. This position is based at our Jackson, MS facility.

The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year.

The Aftermarket Repair Planner is responsible for driving on-time delivery through material flow planning and ensuring optimal scheduling of production units. This position will be required to analyze and interpret a variety of reports and other related factors to allow timely and economical completion of supplier commitments in support of customer delivery requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage work orders plan, release, and manage work orders for repair components. Prioritize work through the machine shop.

  • Manage the Min/Max stock levels for -R components and Exchange Bank. Analyze the levels of stock need to support Repair units. Work with MPS to develop forecast for repaired inventory.

  • Manage Bank Exchange Unit Inventory; move the units from final Ops to the exchange bank. Release orders to replenish the exchange bank. Process exchanges to replace customers hardware.

  • Work with Surplus Team; set up purchase orders and manage the work scope inside our facilities.

  • Participate and lead in business processes improvement events such as meetings, kaizens, workshops, etc.

  • Utilize strong analytical problem-solving abilities to understand operational inefficiencies on plant performance issues.

  • Understand technical specifications, products performance requirements, manufacturing processes, and end user expectations and achieve continuous improvement by analyzing a product’s value stream activity relative to parameters and optimize throughput, flexibility, and on-time delivery.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and techniques which will improve planning function.

  • Actively participate in process improvement and creation/adhering to standard work.

  • Establish optimal inventory levels to achieve desired service, while utilizing just in time inventory management philosophies.

  • Forecast repair volume and work with the High Performance Work Team (HPWT) Leader’s schedule in order to meet customers’ contractual due dates.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing material planning in Supply Chain or Manufacturing functions.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 60 miles of the Jackson, MS facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Aerospace industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing and MRP/ERP

  • Prior experience utilizing change management techniques.

  • Demonstrated skills in influencing, negotiating, coaching and consulting.

  • APICS Certification.
