Eaton Corporation Materials Manager in Haina, Dominican Republic

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Materials Manager.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function:

Provide the highest customer service, keeping inventory and air freight cost control, as well as an efficient communication with all stakeholders to maintain required inventory levels across the entire supply chain.

Responsible for SIOP demand and supply planning across the factory, shipping operations, leading and driving the demand and supply planning leveraging on the procurement team and in collaboration with manufacturing to optimize lead times, OTD, productivity, and cost.

Essential Functions:

• Develop the processes, tools, lead implementation and continuous improvement of a more robust SIOP and demand steering process and production scheduling processes to deliver on-going improvements to maturity and results.

• Work with sales and marketing teams to gather assumptions and data pertaining to forecast changes, trends, and events

• Monitor, recognize, analyze, and recommend solutions based on sales and demand profile. Influencing decisions and investments based on forecast demand volumes and mix.

• Allocate the incoming demand across the manufacturing resources based on business objectives, including OTD, lead times, mix, capacity, and cost.

• Ensure manufacturing and supplier capability and capacity exists to support projected demand volumes to achieve OTD objectives.

• Manage all customers orders expedites and response accordingly in coordination with the Manufacturing Team. Analyze and monitor reports of Back Order and Non Stock (Over Due) Control on a daily basis.

• Manage all customers orders expedites and response accordingly coordinating the Customer Service team and Shipping Coordinator.

• Supervision of personal that work at the Customer Service and shipping departments from all shifts.

• Align production plans to sales forecast. Monitor sales performance with Finance.

• Ensure site adheres to Supply Chain Policies and Corporate procedures and programs.

• Restocking strategy, VMI, consignment activities, processes and procedures in collaboration with the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Manages current and future demand requirements with suppliers to ensure completion of customer requests on time.

• Monitor and identify what the emergency/priority is as well as items that are to be air freighted.

• Leadership communication with internal and external suppliers.

• Manage standard purchasing processes throughout the plant.

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar careers.

• At least 7 years of experience in similar areas.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish), Microsoft Office, knowledge of MRP, Inventory control and Custom Laws.

Preferred:

• Knowledge in AS400/MAPICS, VISTA, SAP, CPIM certification.
