Eaton’s ADMIN Administrative division is currently seeking a CI Manager.

What you’ll do:

Eaton Corporation's Power Control Division located at Haina, DR, has an opening for a Continuous Improvement Manager who will be leading Lean / Six Sigma Framework & Business Intelligence tools. In this role, the selected one will be empowered to develop and lead strategies to help us co-developing and performing CI plans, identifying continuous improvement process that support Operational Excellence & Eaton Business System requirements; in order to achieve cost out goals, performance excellence as expected in functional assessment, to support World Class Hi5 metrics and Model Plant status.

The selected candidate will report directly to the Plant /Share Services Manager and functionally to the OPEX Division Director. Job summary

Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) function in the specified area within PCS PCD Haina:

  • Responsible for co-developing and execution of the CI plans in the specified area.

  • Through hands on approach, deploys Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Framework and processes; in order to achieve cost out goals, performance excellence as expected in functional assessment, to support World Class Hi5 metrics and Model Plant status.

  • Leads the development and deployment digital tools to support performance excellence.

Job responsibilities

  1. Responsible for working with site leadership and for co-developing the continuous improvement plans within the specified area of responsibility, utilizing EBS Strategy Deployment and Integrated Deck Building.

  2. Responsible for execution of the key breakthrough continuous improvement projects (key needle mover projects) within the specified area of responsibility, including the achievement of stretch performance goals to achieve Model Plant Status.

  3. Champion Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and processes and use in a disciplined and rigorous way to achieve stretch performance goals while building organizational capability of business and site lean coordinators.

  4. Responsible for sustaining the results achieved through follow-up reviews, building of local organizational capability and deployment of Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

  5. Support annual assessments including Operations Assessment (OpA). Identify with divisional and site leadership appropriate Opportunities for Advancement, improvement action plans and OpA-ELSS Maturity Roadmap.

  6. Ongoing mentoring, evaluation and development of business and plant lean coordinators, against the ELSS functional competencies.

  7. Coordinate and support the facilitation of top-level training/program on ELSS tools, leading RIE events

  8. Champion structured problem solving including the application of PDCA to build organizational capability, shape the culture and get results.

  9. Identify & promote best-practices within the functions. Conduct research focused on benchmarking world-class performance and utilize findings to recommend stretch targets to plant leadership.

  10. Responsible for the development of Six Sigma statistical tools competence and resource as required by the businesses

  11. Build CI functional competencies (ELSS / CI professionals & tools SME's)

12.Develop improvements through Business Intelligence /data management, focus on effective decision making, process improvements. Standardize digital tools to optimize common approach among Hi Five"

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor's Degree: in Engineering fields (Industrial, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic)

Years and area of experience required

  • 7+ years of experience in similar roles (prefer: Opex/Engineering / Projects / ELSS / CI)

  • With a minimum of 1 year in CI / Operational Excellence"

Technical knowledge

-Bilingual: English / Spanish language's

-Computer knowledge: Advance use of MS Office 365 (including PBI)

-Certified Six Sigma Green Belt certification

-Knowledge in the use of Lean Tools and lean Management with VSM

-Hands on approach to implementation (e.g. leading Kaizen Events)

  • Demonstrated experience using problem solving & Six Sigma statistical tools (including A3, 8D, Problem Definition, Data Collection, Brainstorming, 5 Whys, Fishbone, Cause & Effect, Error Proofing, Variation Analysis, SPC, MSA, and DOE) to solve problems

-Demonstrated experience with Eaton Business System Elements (EQMS, PROLaunch, MESH or market equivalent)

-Training/knowledge:Eaton Business Systems, Operational Assessment (OpA), Eaton Lean Six Sigma, Eaton’s TPC Process"
