What you’ll do:

CYME International T&D is a world-class Power Engineering Solutions provider with an established reputation for customer responsiveness and technical expertise. Our solutions stand behind thousands of T&D projects in over 100 countries around the world. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the technical writer will produce, edit and maintain documentation that clearly explains the functionality of new CYME product features.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for multiple products offered by CYME.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for customer projects.

• Obtain a deep understanding of products to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.

• Identify appropriate documentation versions to be updated after analysis of product modifications, guides, and design documents

• Engage with multiple teams like Developers, Product/ Marketting Managers and Business Owners to produce highly technical product documentation, on time and of high quality.

• Elaborate and recommend new internal processes and tools to improve documentation quality

• Report product bugs or discrepancies between design specifications and product implementation.

• Provide writing expertise and support teams in miscellaneous documentation, such as in journal articles and reports.

Qualifications:

• University degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.

• 3 years experience as a technical writer

Skills:

• Experience in API Documentation creation (Swagger API etc) and maintenance

• Knowledge in technical writing tools such as Framemaker, DITA, XML

• Basic knowledge of coding (REST API, CSS and HTML)

• High proficiency in spoken and written English.

• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.

• Strong communication and interpersonal relationships skills.

Preferred:

• Fluency in French.

• Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content

• Knowledge in power system software (e.g., CYME, CYMCAP).

• Knowledge in mathematics: linear algebra and numerical calculations.

• Knowledge in programming language: Python.

• Fluency in English

• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
