Eaton Corporation Software Program Manager - Mobility in Hadapsar, India
What you’ll do:
Program Manager is primarily responsible for leading Mobility SW PM team & Driving Portfolio Management & maintaining the deliverables, scope and cost. He/She is also responsible to strong and efficent colloboration with all the Product line leaders for Mobility Group
Further, the leader is expected to:-
As PM he/she will be responsible for Coordinating sector, departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors development from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring development is on schedule and within budget constraints. Keeps abreast of technical developments through literature, technical contacts, and industry competition. Ensures compliance with product lifecycle and development procedures and processes as well as all applicable quality and regulatory requirements. in a nutshell he/she needs to drives below activities-

Alignment with adopters and making the release plan

Profit plan and Flex resource management
Defining, tracking and reporting project status and metrics
Continuous improvement.
As senior Program manager he/she will be responsible for entire platform [DHE and BLC] Deliverables under EDO from EIIC.
Manage total 9 development scrum teams and 2 support teams. He/she need to manage deliverables of the team of 100+ members with the support of 2 delivery managers and 3 Scrum Masters reporting this role. At this moment platform team supports 33 active adopters and this role will be responsible to work with the stake holders and manage the deliverables.
Execution Excellence With Strategic Execution:
Monitors development from initiation through delivery including planning and schedule
Manages cross-functional activities[Dev, security...] ensuring deliveries against plan.
Drive PRE-PI planning along with PM,PO,SM and Architects resulting in effective PI planning
Work with EM, SM and PO to reduce the defect debt.
Manage Contract engineers, bring efficiency and productivity from their assignments
Owns the Project Budget/profit plan, work with EMs to determine # of dev/test resources
Customer Centricity & Stakeholder Partnership
Building partnerships and acting as Single point of contact from platform to adopters, Coordinates and focused on delivering new or upgrading existing features.
Clearly outlining expected deliverables and interdependencies towards adopter teams and with agreed timelines
Support QA team in setup and driving in-context testing with adopter teams
Drive Speed of adoption, ultimate utilization of platform features into adopters
Looks for ways to add value beyond adopters' immediate requests and initiates actions
Program Risk and Issue Management
Tracks, follow up and solve dependencies as per the plan
Proactively assessing and responding to risks during the PI execution
Owns analyzing, and resolving issues that arise during a project by applying problem solving methodologies
Communicate the delays on schedule due to unplanned events and mitigation plans
Continuous Improvement
Leading and coordinating program activities and resources across the program scope to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Work with SM, EM to increase the velocity of the team
Partners with key stakeholders to constantly search for creative and innovative ways to elevate the capabilities of the program and portfolio and applies daily management and methodical problem solving.
Qualifications:
B.E. / B Tech / M Tech,
10+ years experience in software development life cycle with minimum 2+ years of project management experience.
Skills:
Understanding of platform development and adoption.
Understanding of AUTOSAR /Non AUTOSAR software Architecture
Working experience on Automotive software methodology, tooling and system configurations
Knowledge of quality standards and certifications ( ISO26262,ASPICE , ISO21435)
Working Experience of AUTOSAR/non AUTOSAR/ Model based software architecture for Mobility platforms.
Experience on safety concepts and architectural design for safety compliant HV or similar prodducts.
DFSS Awareness .
Preferred / Additional specialized knowledge
Understanding of Validation, Verification and Certification of Auto / Electrical domain
Knowledge of Reliability for Power electronics, Embedded system Design.
