Responsible for leading product development team for D-IT which is part of Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division
This role includes leading a team of talented Firmware, Hardware and Mechanical Engineers. The team is responsible for development of electrical products like single phase UPS, Gateway cards, ePDU's and IT racks
Work with global engineering and product leadership to define and shape up the strategy for new product development, and drive end to end execution
Drive the culture of innovation and engineering excellence. Establishes the urgency whenever needed and seeks quicker turnaround for the prioritized issues with utmost quality and technical rigor
Develops the capabilities by reskilling team members, hiring talent and creating standard operating procedures.
Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development
Builds high performing team. Perform technical reviews, including detailed design and code reviews
Drive rigor around software development lifecycle, agile program execution and model-based systems engineering
Ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model
Qualifications:
Requirement
B.E. / Mtech Electronics, Computer Science, IT
14+ years of overall experience including 4+ years of experience as Manager and 10 years of hands-on expertise in power electronics / electronics , Sustaining and Cost out.
Experience leading a team through all stages of the product development cycle
Experience in power electronics / electronics product development
Strong experience in firmware development in Embedded RTOS, Linux, C, C++ Exposure to power electronics / digital electronics product development
LV electronics, TI, NXP microcontrollers based architecture, familiarity with schematic design tools, Altium
Experience on UPS / EV Chargers is desirable
Multidisciplinary experience across mechanical and electrical subsystem designs for product development
Knowledge in Agile ProLaunch and PreLaunch processes"
Ability to work with multiple cultures, functions, and regions as well as with technical and non-technical audiences
Strong curiosity, creativity, and ability to work with different levels of the organization including senior executives
Skills:
Provide leadership for DIT product (single phase UPS, Gateway cards, ePDU's and IT racks) engineering team comprising of embedded, software, power electronics and mechanical engineers
Collaborate closely with global team and ensure timely execution of programs in the team.
Lead & execute global programs with Engineering leadership from Pune.
Create Multi-year product roadmaps by identifying opportunity spaces for new product & technology developments
Manages department budget and performance to forecast.
Creates live dashboards and communicates uniformly by report outs with bug tracking, requirements test case management and collaboration tools.
Deploy methodologies like DFSS and DMAIC in product development.
Understand customer requirements and communicate them to teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
Trains, develops, and motivates subordinates to achieve their performance goals and review their accomplishments and conducts performance reviews. Recruit and retain a team of engineers.
Review technical concepts of projects including equipment specification and design.
