What you’ll do:

• Drive and shape DtV/VAVE portfolio by working closely with various Eaton business groups as part Direct Material Productivity (DMP) team. This involves close collaboration with various Eaton business group divisions and Global Procurement Organization to generate cost out opportunities.

• She/He will be responsible for working on various aspects of Direct Material Productivity with the primary goal of identifying, developing, and maintaining services that deliver significant cost out opportunities as well as creating a robust pipeline of executable cost out projects.

• She/he will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to DtV/VAVE engineers working on various cost out projects.

• The applicant will provide a strong technical mentorship to skilled DtV/VAVE engineers, an unwavering focus on driving outcomes for the internal customers, excellent project management skills, communication & presentation skills and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

• The applicant needs to have an in-depth knowledge of requirements for Global Energy Infrstructure Solutions (GEIS), E-Mobility and Aerospace products functionality, design, application including duty cycle attributes, VAVE methodologies.

• The applicant should have capability to understand and analyze product margin data, product costed BOMs, leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new project opportunities.

• Drive DtV/VAVE portfolio growth in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in product focused cost out as well as in various technology areas

• Identify cost out opportunities in different products and systems through benchmarking, teardown, competitor analysis, functionality analysis (FAST, FCW etc.) and study of applicable standards

• Collaborate with global and local stakeholders/teams to efficiently develop and implement portfolio growth strategies for proactively influencing and providing value propositions for overall VAVE growth.

• Execute the enterprise-wide strategic projects for various products working with global business stakeholders the applicant should have strong stakeholder management skills as supposed to work with various global business leaders to explore new DtV/VAVE opportunities. Hands-on technical leader who can build & shape Cost Out portfolio for team.

Qualifications:

BE/Btech/ME/Mtech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Skills:

•12+ years’ experience in industry. Handling strategic portfolio for VAVE/cost out. Demonstrated experience in leading/ managing technical engineering organization, Proven experience in Talent management (Hire, Develop, Retain), resource allocation and project management, Demonstrated experiences with Manufacturing process, Customer interface, Continuous improvement methodologies

•Application and Product knowledge of Electrical / Electro-mechanical / Mechanical / Electric vehicle products. Cost out portfolio building and execution. Hands on experience in Value Engineering principles & its deployment

•Working in global business environment, Drive for results. Influencing without autDemonstrated tenacity and flexibility to reliably achieve goals. hority. Strategic Planning. Highly effective interpersonal skills. Excellent communications skills with high degree of aptitude, creativity, and self-direction are required

Strong Experience in Product Design and its VAVE with hands on experience in Electrical / Electro-mechanical / Mechanical / Electric vehicle products development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing. Hands on experience on building cost out portfolio and execution. Strong Drive for result. Cost out process adherence.
