Eaton Corporation Engineer - Embedded Software Developer in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

The Software Development Engineer’s primary responsibility will be Delivering Software for Production Level software development for EATON’s Mobility products on Power electronics, Power distribution and Transmission portfolio. Primary responsibility of this role is to develop Base software of power distribution , power electronics components to meet specific technical requirements by satisfying compliance and timeline requirement for eMobility applications

• The position will be involved in many different aspects of the product life-cycle, ranging from product specification, requirements engineering, Design & Development, and validation. Successful candidates will possess the determination required to track down and solve hard to find vehicle level software issues.

• Applicant shall have experience in design, development of software for HV and LV Power converters. Candidate should have knowledge of vehicle market and technology trends. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills.

• Software Requirements, and development specifically for automotive powertrain electrification for Automotive Controllers Non-Autosar based software

• Maintaining Requirements in Jazz, doors and establishing linkages to system requirements

• Works closely with global and internal team members for Production Software development and integration on Bench test setup and vehicle level environment.

• Provides guidance and helps software engineers from the team.

• Maintain up to date knowledge of new technology and recent development and trends in Embedded Software technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Batchelor Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering

  • 3 to 6 years

  • 3-4 years of embedded software development experience

Skills:

• Experience of Communication Protocol – CAN, J1939, UDS, SPI, I2C, UART, XCP,

• Experience on different peripherals like: ADC, DAC, DMA, EEPROM, IPC.

• Working experience on different Controllers - AUTOMOTIVE Grade, safety complaint controllers(PIC, ST, Renesas, Infinion)

• Hands on Experiance on Tools like– Vector Candela, CANoe, CANape, Canalyzer, Different debuggers.

• Experience with System Software requirement drill down.

• Experiance on RTOS

• Understanding of AUTOSAR sw architecture: RTE integration, BSW and MCAL configuration

• Experience on Bootloader Development.

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Concepts

• Knowledge of Software Functional Safety(ASIL) requirement

• Knowledge of ASPICE and Agile process

• Understanding of Functional testing and execution on Bench setups.
