Eaton production site in Gyor is currently seeking a PLC Programmer/Maintenance Engineer. The role is part of engineering team, working on new production lines implementations, upgrades, involed in automating and robotizing existing and future manufacturing technologies.

What you’ll do:

• Programming, testing, and commissioning of functions in both small and large PLC systems.

• Primarily working with Omron and Siemens S7 controllers.

• Modifying existing PLC programs, troubleshooting, and implementing other repairs and fixes.

• Providing technical support for process optimization projects.

• Involvement in automating and robotizing existing and future manufacturing technologies.

• Supporting OT systems, including SCADA and MES applications.

• Overseeing the maintenance and performance of industrial equipment and systems.

• Developing and implementing operational efficiency solutions.

• Reducing dependence on external suppliers.

• Managing maintenance costs and project expenses.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of practical experience in PLC-controlled systems.

• Degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent vocational education with several years of relevant experience.

Skills:

• Experience in programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning new systems.

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical control technology.

• Familiarity with HMI design.

• Proficiency in Omron Sysmac and/or TIA Portal.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and system failures.

• Understanding of industrial bus systems (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, EtherCat, Modbus TCP).

• Solution-oriented mindset and initiative.

• Intermediate proficiency in German and/or English.

Nice to have:

• Diagnostic knowledge of hardware and software.

• Experience programming Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Universal Robots, or Yaskawa robots.

• Service experience.

• Electrical design experience, with knowledge of PC programming (Python, C++, Java).

• Professional experience as a PLC programmer (Siemens S7, TIA Portal, ProTool, WinCC).

• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles in an industrial environment.

• Thorough understanding of IoT, data analysis, and automation technologies.
