Eaton Corporation Commercial Operations Manager in Burlington, Ontario

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Commercial Operations Manager. This position is located at our Canadian Headquarters in Burglington, ON.

As the Manager of Commercial Operations, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for driving sales and marketing productivity through essential support functions. These include planning, reporting, quota management, sales process optimization, program and digital tools implementation, marketing communications and pricing. You will play a key role in ensuring the overall productivity and effectiveness of the commercial organization, enabling it to provide exceptional service to customers and achieve profitable growth. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Commercial Operations, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to design processes and apply data and technology to achieve the objectives and priorities of the sales and marketing organizations. What you’ll do:

• Coordinates cross functional interactions between Sales, Product Marketing, Operations and Finance.

• Leads the development of tools for sales reporting and analysis and drives the processes to deliver accurate, reliable and timely business intelligence to the leadership team.

• Provides analysis, guidance and insight to the senior leadership team.

• Provides consistent, timely and accurate revenue & sales reporting and develops new systems / processes to efficiently track revenue across the sales regions.

• Drives and innovates continuous improvements to the system, partnering with Sales, Marketing and Operations leadership to ensure all facets of the commercial business are considered

• Leads pricing strategy and execution and coordinates effective communication with the Finance and Sales teams.

• Leads the annual revenue planning process and ensures delivery of effective tools to drive efficient roll-up and visualization of inputs / outputs.

• Leads the development of tools and the processes for reporting of Sales and Marketing analytics, trend analysis and customer data.

• Manages Bidman quoting system and associated tools and drives improvements.

• Assists Sales Management in regional planning, sales enablement and leads internal implementation.

• Aligns with Electrical Sector Americas Commercial Operations team and strives for continuous improvement and uniformity in commercial operations processes, procedures and tools to improve effectiveness.

• Plans and coordinates digital marketing strategy and execution.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum seven (7) years of marketing, operations, and/or sales experience.

• Minimum two (2) years of manager of people experience.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited school.

• Digital marketing experience.

• Pricing and pricing execution strategy experience.

• B2B marketing experience.

• Demonstrated experience defining business requirements and translating them into innovative implementation plans.

• Successful track record of building functions from the ground up, with limited resources and tight timelines.

• Experience in leading and executing process development to streamlined commercial activities.

• Management of commercial operations budget.

• Data management and customer targeting experience.

• Strong knowledge of marketing and sales enablement platforms (e.g. salesforce.com, Siebel, Oracle, Percolate, Zilliant, etc.).
