Eaton Corporation Lead Tax Analyst - Transfer Pricing Controversy (EMEA) in Bonn, Germany

For the role you can be located eigther in Vienna Austria or Bonn Germany .

What you’ll do:

As a Lead Tax Analyst, you will be part of the Transfer Pricing Controversy (EMEA) team. You will work on tax and transfer pricing controversy related projects and support the team in developing responses to tax authority inquiries across EMEA in a timely and concise manner while also working on strategic questions concerning tax audits, tax litigation, Mutual Agreement Procedures and Advanced Pricing Agreements.

  • Working independently in developing responses to tax authority inquiries on various complex Transfer Pricing (TP) issues and anticipating future issues in related responses.

  • Collecting data needed for the preparation of responses to tax authorities from different functions within Eaton (e.g.: Finance, Treasury, International Tax).

  • Providing support in calculating the reserves for EMEA tax positions.

  • Providing support on ad-hoc projects and activities depending on business needs.

  • Reviewing and, if necessary, amending existing TP documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business (other degrees will be considered if relevant experience in transfer pricing or tax). Professional qualification (Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor, CFA, or similar) is a plus.

  • 5-7 years working experience in transfer pricing or international tax gained from either a similar position in industry or in a consulting environment.

Skills:

  • Fluency in English is necessary. Fluency in German is an advantage, as communication with tax authorities is often carried out in the local language.

  • Steuerberater qualification in either Germany or Austrian is an advantage (but not a must)

  • Must be proficient in the use of standard software, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including experience in financial modelling. Also, must be willing and able to learn Eaton’s databases, financial reporting and forecasting systems.

  • Should be able to clearly communicate, orally and in writing, including the ability to explain complex information and develop persuasive arguments.

  • Should be able to interact effectively with people, both inside and outside the Company, who have diverse backgrounds, languages, and different objectives.

  • Should have strong analytical skills, be organized and have effective time management skills.

  • Proactivity and an attitude of taking initiative will be valuable.
