Eaton Corporation Fabrication Machine Operator -2nd Shift in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator -2nd Shift. This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The Fabrication Operator is responsible to process and bend raw material through the Fabrication Department. Performing initial set-up for machine operation.

Shift Hours: 3:30pm - 2am Monday - Thursday

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour, plus a $2 / hour increase for 2nd shift.

What you’ll do:

• Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts

• Interpret work orders including written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings

• Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation

• Inspect final component against work specifications

• Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment

• Provide on-the-job training for new operators

• Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Machining certificate and/or machine operating experience

• Previous experience in Fabrication.

Skills:

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.

• Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures.

• Able to read blueprints.

• Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.

• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.

• Able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
