Eaton Corporation Assistant Manager - CI in Ahmednagar, India
What you’ll do:
You will coordinate and execute the deployment of the Continuous Improvement Framework, Industry 4.0, Eaton Lean & Six Sigma System throughout the Plant facility in support of strategic goals and objectives.
You will collaborate with the Site Leaders to lead the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy Industry 4.0, actions, and cross-functional activities via the Continuous Improvement Council.
You will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of the tools in a learning environment, while also capable of deploying the tools to create value for the site.
You will drive Continuous improvement across the site to achieve short term and long-term business improvements.
You will develop a culture of problem solving through usage of Lean and Six Sigma tools.
You will coordinate and assist with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across Eaton Corp.
You will execute plant cost-out activities.
You will assist in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating RIEs, Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
You will drive Boot camp events to drive breakthrough improvements by application of ELSS tools and also facilitate Lean Tool Certification program by coaching/mentoring the identified persons.
Develop and Implement annual CI calendar of events aligning to EBS Pull (Strategic) projects.
You will coordinate successful RIEs/ Kaizen events/Needle mover projects/ Continuous Improvement events and BPIs for the Ahmednagar facility
You will be responsible for attainment of ELSS Assessment and ELSS Cost Savings objectives and provide regular ELSS/CI status updates to plant staff and immediate supervisor.
You will drive Continuous Improvement Framework deployment to create culture of problem solving and continuous improvement though engagement and continuously raising the standard.
You will monitor overall plant performance toward plant and division objectives for High 5 / Cost Out activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution required
7+ years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Distribution
Minimum of 5 – 7 years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 years of experience deploying lean manufacturing tools (5S, Standard Work, TPM, Set Up Reduction, 3P, etc.) and running Kaizen events
Skills:
• Experience in driving Lean, Six Sigma initiatives and Industry 4.0
• Train and lead plant in CI tools, Continuous Improvement Framework, Industry 4.0, EBS Pull, and Rapid Improvement Events
• Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Strong understanding and execution of Value Stream Mapping.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in continuous improvement methods, strategic management, project management and an ability to have fun while successfully deploying the tools.
• Excellent communication skills, proven capability to execute change in a team environment.
Thorough understanding of problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action.
• Demonstrated analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite and Digitalization tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and technical specifications to support plant competencies.
